saying goodbye
I spent last Saturday saying goodbye to my cousin, Kate, as she prepared to move to Tennessee for her junior year in high school. She’s been like a little sister to me, so I’m really going to miss having her here!

no joke….that is a bullet hole in the window next to my desk. Some little punk has opened fire (most probable weapon is a BB-gun) on Avon.
Avon security doesn’t seem to be all that worried….which makes me, by nature….WORRIED.

NYC is hot, hot, HOT! And I am dying for cold drinks (and a portable AC unit that I can carry around with me while outside…ha). The sangria I made last weekend was this week’s inspiration for well…this week’s inspiration post. ha. (I love it when I make myself giggle)

weekend cooking
This weekend, E and I decided we had eaten out enough. The solution? Steak and chicken kabobs with sangria. Yum.
These were SO good. Makes me really appreciative of his back yard/grill.

My itty-bitty, tinie tiny, city apartment often leaves me dreaming of the future. A future where I will have (gasp) SPACE. Space for leaving stuff on the floor. Space for a really big Christmas tree. And….space for entertaining (specifically dinner parties).
